What does the principle of moments state?

The sum of the clockwise moments about a point equals the sum of the anticlockwise moments.

The sum of all forces must be zero.

The moment equals force divided by distance.

Forces must always be balanced.

The principle of moments states that for an object in equilibrium, the sum of clockwise moments equals the sum of anticlockwise moments.
